Pellegrine Bellezze

Pellegrine Bellezze Musical wanderings 1200–1900

A final concert marking the end of my master's in Early Music Voice at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with a journey through 700 years of music...

Night falls. Four hundred years later, the troubadour wakes up in Rome. A city in ruins: statues, arches and temples once grand and glorious have dwindled to dust. But time crunches stones and bones alike. His face now pale, his hair silvered, what more has withered?

Love, my love — and now the arrow is broken.

Torment. Three hundred years later, and the troubadour is still awake. Every night, his eyes wide open. But remember that he once was a person too. So let him sleep. Let him turn cold as stone. Let him be dust — in Rome. Then mourn the city, as time nibbles away. One bite at a time.

This time in Coherent Concerts:
Wandering beauties for lost souls.
